Hipster Lettuce is a small family run business who makes and packages everything by hand. Due to our boutique size our products are sent on Mondays and Tuesdays. Delivery can take up to 4 business days to arrive once posted, due to the perishable nature of our natural ferments, we cannot send our product to PO boxes.
Fermentation is an effective preservation technique that maintains a low pH that prevents harmful bacteria from growing and provides probiotic bacteria that thrive in temperatures up to 110 degrees F.
However, Cold shipping is used to maintain a consistent flavor and texture. The keep refridgerated requirements is also to maintain flavor and texture as well as to prevent contamination once you open the jar and start putting utensils (or fingers ;) ) in it. Our fermented vegetable products are maintained under refridgerated conditions before and during shipment. The recipient is required to refridgerate upon reciept of the package.
Once you recieve a shipping tracking number via email, all discrepancies in delivery time are the responsibility of USPS, FedEx or UPS. If you have a problem upon reciept of your package please take a picture of the damage and send an email with your order number to Matthew@hipsterlettuce.com within 2 days of delivery. We will replace any damaged item as quickly as possible if the damage is our fault. Hipster Lettuce is not responsible for orders damaged during shipping.

All sales are final. If there is a problem with your order please email us at Matthew@hipsterlettuce.com . We are not liable, nor issue refunds or ship replacements for wrong or invalid shipping addresses.
